Profit Farming is a different way of looking at how you can grow your business.
The foundation of Profit Farming is based on challenging what we're all taught and told about marketing. That's because what most small to medium-sized business owners are lead to believe about marketing their business is just not true.

Sure, many things will work if you have enough money to throw at an idea. Brute force often overpowers whatever it comes in contact with - but even then, bad ideas fail regardless of how much money you spend on them.

Multi-billion dollar corporations with their huge marketing budgets have seen many of their award-winning, catchy, and popular campaigns never come close to paying for themselves, much less turn a profit.

Of course, the ad agencies, ad sales reps, marketers, graphic designers and web developers working on these projects ALL took home a paycheck. It is the businesses who agree to pay for the non-results that are the ones that suffered. And many of those businesses won't be around next month or next year.

If these ideas actually worked most of the time, fewer companies would go out of business or be taken over. Fewer would be sold at a loss or be bought out and then left to die on the vine. In fact, a lot of companies would be doing substantially better if the marketing advice and services they're paying for actually work half as well as expected.

As Profit Farmers, the question we must ask is, "If standard marketing methodologies don't work most of the time for the huge worldwide corporations with deep pockets, how can they be expected to work for smaller businesses who have even fewer resources to execute and follow through on the concepts?"

There's a part of the story that the average business owner never hears. They hear the part about the 'award-winning' and creative advertising and design services because that's part of the sales pitch. What they don't hear is how most of those awards are given by their peers - other ad agencies, marketing firms, and designers - not the bankers or accountants who measure the results of those services by looking at deposit slips and account balances.

Profit Farming was created to change all of that for the business owners who don't want to be forced into playing a losing game any longer.

If there's a downside to Profit Farming it's that it requires a commitment to focusing only on what works. Personal interests, opinions, and preferences are set aside in favor of what generates measurable results in your business.

There is no "We think the results turned out pretty good...", or "We feel we should go in this direction..." in Profit Farming.

You can't keep searching for the latest and greatest "hot" idea or marketing fad. That's called guessing and gambling with your business.

And that's not Profit Farming.

Profit Farming fills in the gaps that cause so many marketing and business growth efforts to fail in the first place. Many Profit Farmers going through the system soon realize they are finally learning the missing elements of their marketing plan that have held them down for years. And once these elements are corrected (or established to begin with), their business expands and flourishes and prospers.

They no longer have to run to the bank and borrow money to waste on ineffective marketing. They don't have to drain profits to follow through on an ad agency idea that was weak on substance, but full of the warm and fuzzies.

It's been said that the reason most businesses fail is because of under-capitalization. We couldn't agree more. With all the money that is wasted on ineffective marketing and advertising, it's a wonder that so many businesses stay around for as long as they do!
